Many people are now getting back together as the pandemic is getting much better. Because of this, you may be planning to have some people over to your house to celebrate the 4th of July. If so, there are many things you can do to make your event special and fun for everyone. Keep reading to learn of two things to help you get started.

1. Fireworks

Setting off fireworks is one of the main things you should be concerned with. First, make sure it is legal for you to do this where you live. If so, you also need to ensure you have a safe area in your yard to set fireworks off and know how to safely light them. 

There are a variety of fireworks available for you to purchase. Black Cat fireworks are a common brand to purchase. You should start seeing tents popping up around your area that sell fireworks. There are fireworks known as aerial. This type flies up into the air, such as rockets, firecrackers, and fountains. You do have to be especially careful with this type of firecracker. This is because if not done correctly it could fly in the wrong direction. Rockets are another type of firecracker that is aerial.

Bottle rockets are commonly used as they are easy to light, and kids generally like them because they make a loud sound when they go off. You may also hear a whistle sound when the bottle rocket is lit. Jumping jacks stay on the ground when they are lit. They look much like a firecracker, but they will start spinning and shooting out different colors when you light them. For children purchase some confetti poppers which are not lit but shoots out strands of confetti that are in a variety of colors.

2. Food

Everyone likes to eat so make sure you have a lot of food at your party. You should grill out if you have a griller. You could grill hot dogs and hamburgers for something easy and most people like both or at least one of these. Purchase or make cakes and cookies to have as a desert. If you are able there are many recipes for fourth of July cakes that you can make. If not, you can purchase something from a bakery.

Set up stations for the food that you fix. For example, for hamburgers have the buns sitting on a table and then a variety of condiments, such as ketchup, mustard, onions, lettuce, tomato, etc. do the same with hot dogs and any other food that you cook. This way everyone can make what they eat exactly the way they like. 

Besides these two things have plenty of seating at the party and install lights outside to ensure everyone can see well.
